Cite attend Microsoft MWord event

November 19th, 2009 by Thaddeus

Although in the main we use open-source software for technical development - Joomla, Wordpress, Magento etc - we like to keep an eye on what our friends at Microsoft are up to. This is the second invite-only event we have attended this year, and a good opportunity to meet a range of industry specialists, from uber-agency AKQA to the creme of Microsoft’s own in-house technologists.

We got sneak previews of a range of Microsoft products and services, including Silverlight 4, Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9. There was a lot of talk about ‘The Cloud’ too.

Afterwards, we retired to ‘The Woolpack’ on Bermondsey Rd for an ale with New Media veteran, David Wall of Dusted
