NHS Acronym Buster mobile app launched

NHS Acronym Buster app development

We have just launched our latest mobile app for the NHS. The NHS Acronym Buster collates over 700 acronyms and abbreviations commonly used within the organisation to help users quickly decipher the acronym they need, no matter where they are.

With so many acronyms and abbreviations used by the NHS, it is impossible for staff to memorise them all. To make sure all NHS communication is fully understood, this app allows people to have access to the entire database at their fingertips. Designed to be ultra simple, users can scroll the database alphabetically or use a predictive text search to find what they need quickly and painlessly.

The app also includes a form that allows users to submit an acronym they would like to see added to the app, helping to ensure the app stays up-to-date and comprehensive.

“Cite came up with a great solution for us and went that extra mile to deliver the project on time and without issues. They really get what we are trying to achieve and we really enjoy working with them” – Cara McDonagh (NHS Confederation Head of Communications)

This is the latest mobile app we have created using web technologies – Sencha Touch and PhoneGap. The app is available for iOS and Android devices.
