Plantation Rugs e-commerce site launch

Cite is proud to announce the launch of our e-commerce website for the Plantation Rug Company.  The new website coincides with the launch of the company’s first “Fashion for Your Floor” campaign and makes their wide range of rugs available online.

The Plantation Rug Company has been designing and weaving rugs in the UK since 1930 and has hundreds of products to choose from.  While the company has had a website before, this is its first venture into e-commerce.

Working closely with Plantation Rug’s PR company, Brown Dog, we developed a website that is easy-to-use for both visitors and administrators. The website was built with Magento software, which allowed us to customise the website with plugins that improve the user experience.

The website lets visitors browse by collection, colour, and shape while a zoom feature allows people to see the detail involved in each rug.  Social media has also been integrated and a special feature lets visitors share their favourite rugs across a range of social media.  The site also includes a blog.

This website adds to a growing list of great Magento websites we’ve launched this year, including our Pex Wholesale and Diamonds & Rings sites. We are now also using Shopify as an e-commerce platform.
