Pozitude Nominated for Digital Heroes Awards

Cite are so happy to announce that our client, Pozitude, has been nominated for this year’s national Digital Heroes Awards.  With a chance to be awarded up to £15,000, Pozitude needs your vote to make it happen.

Visit the Pozitude website

Pozitude is a Leicester-based charity helping teenagers who are HIV positive.  We were privileged to create Pozitude’s website (along with its sister site, Beehive, for children living with HIV) and know how truly dedicated the charity is to helping young people with the disease.  That’s why we really want Pozitude to take home the prize.

The Digital Heroes Awards are sponsored by TalkTalk and give £5,000 to one charity from each region of the country.  Finalists were chosen because of their ability to use digital media to spread the word about their charities. The public can visit the Digital Heroes Award website to vote for their favourite entrants, and a grand prize winner (to be chosen by expert judges) will receive £10,000!

Pozitude is up against two other East Midlands charities for the award, and while it would be wonderful if all of them could get the funding, we’re rooting for Pozitude!

The charity’s creative use of digital marketing and passion to reach people on multiple platforms has led to the nomination.  In addition to the website, Pozitude has also commissioned a Facebook app that helps fight the stigma associated with HIV.  If Pozitude wins, it plans to use the award money to create a smartphone app that will help young people remember to take their medication.

So, here’s where you come in.  Visit the Digital Heroes website and vote for Pozitude to win the East Midlands category (and while you’re at it, you can vote for other regions as well).   And don’t forget to spread the word and get others to vote.  The more votes Pozitude gets, the more help its young people will receive.

Voting closes November 13.
