Wolfram Alpha – the Google slayer… The birth of a legend and a new marketing challenge.
After much speculation, the Wolfram Alpha project has arrived. Hailed as a rival (and indeed, successor) to Google, the Wolfram Alpha is a ‘computation knowledge engine’ rather than a search engine and wants to change the way people use online data.
The plan is to give users direct answers to questions, rather than directing them to other websites. This will pose an interesting challenge to businesses that currently relies on search engine traffic, and will potentially challenge current best practice regarding search engine optimisation (SEO). Thankfully, Cite, the Leicester web design and online marketing agency, will be on hand to ensure your website is properly optimised and up to the task.
