Alzheimer’s Society Facebook App

We’ve just launched a new Facebook App for the Alzheimer’s Society.  The App has been created specifically for Dementia Awareness Week 2011 and is called “Remember the Person.”

The Remember the Person App allows people to share their memories about a person close to them who has dementia.  Visitors have the option of writing about something they remember experiencing with the person, why they are friends, or what they both love.

These memories are then posted to the person’s Facebook wall and to the wall of the person remembered, or, if the person is not on Facebook, the memory is emailed to them.

The app provides a wonderful way for people to share their appreciation for those closest to them who have dementia.  We are really excited to be part of this great cause.
