After developing XXX Mints’ website, we were asked to establish a Facebook presence for the brand. We have grown the Facebook presence with organic posts and Facebook advertising, and are constantly looking for innovative ways to reach new people. This Christmas, we launched a “XXXmas Cracker” campaign, to increase reach and engagement. We produced seven XXXmas cracker videos, each consisting of short Christmas cracker animations, with a cheesy mint-related joke inside. The objective of the videos was  to raise the brand’s profile across Facebook through audience engagement and shares.

 

The initial organic engagement and video views were very positive so we took the opportunity to push the campaign further by boosting some of the videos through paid Facebook advertising. This  sent our reach and view count numbers through the roof. As more people saw the posts, they began to tag friends and share them, and before we knew it, the small campaign became a hit, reaching almost 90,000 people per day at its peak. Not bad for a newly started Facebook page.

The video campaign resulted in the XXX Mints brand reaching over 294,000 people over a 10 day period, with the videos amassing more than 108,000 views in total. The overall engagement for the 10 day period eclipsed the rest of the quarter’s engagement by over 3000%.
