Over the last month our digital agency has been working with Continental Tyres to create two Facebook apps that promote its sponsorship of ITV’s Dancing on Ice.

Continental Tyres wanted to get fans excited about Dancing on Ice’s final series and generate a bit of a buzz on social media. Two weeks before the series premiere, we launched a Video Countdown app that showcased some of the show’s most memorable moments by releasing a new video clip every day.

After the show began, we launched a Facebook competition where users can enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a taping of the show. Each week the app automatically resets itself, which means less work for administrators, and a lot more chances to win for users! The app also allows people to share and tweet about the competition, and learn more about Continental Winter Tyres. Regular readers of our blog may remember that we created a similar competition for Continental Tyres last year, and we’re so pleased to see fans wanted it back again.

The Continental Tyres Dancing on Ice campaign will run through March 6, so check it out on Facebook and let us know what you think of the competition app.
