Joining LAMP’s Business Club to improve workplace mental health across Leicester

After completing the #Lamp5k walk back in May to raise money for mental health in Leicestershire, all of the Cite team were keen to get involved further.

LAMP, Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project, is an independent charity founded in 1989. They provide useful and essential mental health support for people living around the Leicestershire and Rutland area. According to LAMP research, 1 in 4 individuals in Leicestershire suffer with poor mental health, out of the 250,000 residents.

We’ve recently joined the LAMP Business Club, which provides an open forum to discuss improving mental health awareness throughout businesses. As a partner we will be attending Business Club meetings across the year, taking part in the various workshops available and discussing mental health best practises with other like-minded and forward-thinking businesses.

Simon Williams, Operations Director, says:

“Over recent times, mental health has rightfully come to the forefront of people’s minds; both personally and in the workplace. It’s an area we are continually working to improve and build upon. By joining up with LAMP we’re committed to working with other like-minded businesses to ensure our team’s mental health is taken seriously, whilst helping to improve awareness in the wider Leicestershire area.”

We’re looking forward to being a part of the LAMP community, and helping support mental health in the workplace and wider in Leicestershire.
