Consolidating further our reputation as the go-to digital agency for NHS organisations, we are delighted to announce the launch of the NHS Culture of Care Barometer app.

The application has a broad audience, including NHS organisations, care homes, private healthcare providers – in fact anyone with a commitment to improving the quality of care for patients. It consists of 31 questions designed to measure cultural themes such as engagement, empowerment, leadership and teamwork.  By stimulating conversation and encouraging reflection among staff, the Barometer helps identity areas for improvement.

Moderators are able to set up surveys for their team/department/organisation and analyse the results, which are recorded anonymously. The survey works responsively on a range of modern devices, as well as on legacy systems which are common within the NHS.

Development of the tool benefited from standard UX approaches, such as wireframing and prototyping. A pilot was released to selected stakeholder groups to review prior to release. The user interface is designed to be as simple to use as possible.

This is the latest in a long line of digital projects we have successfully delivered for a number of NHS organisations. We have a particular experience in taking sometimes complex offline tools – such as Excel spreadsheets – and interpreting them online in an intuitive and meaningful way.
