Talk and Walk: Raising money for Time To Talk Day 2022

To celebrate Time To Talk Day 2022, we wanted to bring the team together, so we organised a challenging walk across muddy Beacon Hill.

On February 4th, the day after Time To Talk Day, we spent the afternoon trekking through a 7 mile route and raised over £400 for one of our charity partners, LAMP

Time To Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health event, run annually by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. 1 in 4 people will face a mental health challenge in any given year, and that’s just the people who have opened up, most suffer in silence. This annual event is all about removing the stigma around talking, which couldn’t be more important.

After walking for Mental Health Awareness last year, we wanted to challenge ourselves further. Director, Dafydd, chose the below route. Muddy was one way to describe it (then again, as I write this, I was the one wearing bright white trainers), but it was rewarding and made the social gathering afterwards even more enjoyable.

We’re in an exciting period of growth at Cite, but the team is, as we always say, the beating heart of the agency and everything we do. It’s important to take time out, and come together outside of the office, or Zoom calls.

Director, Dafydd, said:

“We’ve all spent so much time at home recently, with our heads down and eyes glued to our screens. It’s easy to forget just how important it is to spend social time together, sharing experiences, ideas and thoughts”

We can’t wait for the next one! Check out our other charity fundraising here!
