Website and extranet launched for empath
We’re pleased to announce the launch of a new website for empath, a leading UK pathology laboratory based in Leicester and Nottingham. The new site includes information for customers about empath’s services and a private area for staff to access internal communications.
With five different locations and thousands of tests available, empath needed a website that was easy-to-navigate. Working with empath, we established the site’s structure to accommodate the different audiences who would be visiting the site.
The design features large images and colourful horizontal scrolling panels that serve as a secondary navigation. The site also includes an A-Z list of test, which can be searched by keyword or category, a careers area, and a news section.
In addition to the main website, we created a private extranet for empath staff to use. Each member of staff is able to register for the extranet, and once logged in can access internal documents, news, and more detailed information about all the tests. The extranet also features an online forum and contact page, so staff can discuss topics with their colleagues.
In conjunction with the website and extranet, we are also assisting empath with foundational SEO to make sure the website can be found by people interested in their services.
