The Dream Team

Cite dream team

This months staff blog is written by Project Manager and football fanatic Ravi…

As the new football season is upon us and we’re all finalising our fantasy football teams, I thought I’d share with you the Cite dream team… Enjoy!

Goalkeeper

In goal we have Paul, our Technical Director. He’s a safe pair of hands and is often required to pull a few blinders. Paul organises the team and leads from the back. Most importantly, he’s the person making sure we don’t score any own goals! He’s the Petr Cech of this team.

Defence

Defence comprises of the development team: Neelam, James, Matt and Duncan. They’re a solid base and put the foundations in place which everything is built on. Nothing gets past them. Together with the GK, they’re a strong unit. Think Man Utd with Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra at the helm.

Central Midfield

Central midfield has to be made up of the project management team, Simon and myself. Like all good centre mids, we’re the glue that holds the team together and the link between defence and attack. I’d say we’re a combo of Lee Cattermole and N’golo Kante; never afraid to put our foot in and forever running…

Wide Midfield

Nevil and Ryan are the wide midfielders, the SEO and social specialists and general go-to-guys. These guys will help you get to page 1 of the premier league by nurturing the youth talent. The go to guys for testing also, they help get projects to the byline. Like James Milner, they’re flexible and adapt to the demands of the team. On occasion they’re given a license to roam.

Strikers

Who else could play up front but the design team, Mateen and Jadene. These guys have bags of tekkers and get the crowd off their seats with their flair and creativity. They’re high in demand and always willing to try a trick or two. In premier league terms, they’re more like Cantona and Zola than Sheringham and Shearer.

Managers

Joint managers for the team are the business owners Daf and Andy. I was going to say they’re a great double act like the Salford duo Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley but maybe that’s not the best comparison… anyway they’ll set out the team’s philosophy and approach, and oversee performance from above.

Sporting Director

There’s no doubt that the sporting director is Ken as he’s always on the hunt for new ventures. Ken’s always thinking and planning for the future, and just like Daniel Levy, he’s a tough negotiator.
